AGM & 2018 Presentation
A presentation has yet to happen for the 2018 season, looking to take place in April. Details of the society days can be found below:
Issues discussed and implemented:
- Cost for a society day will remain at £35
- Continue to open up more of the better courses to the society
- Will try and provide breakfast where costs allow
- £1 bet of player to win the day – max £3 per attendee
- 2s competition will be introduced in 2019 – optional £1 per player
- Singles and doubles competitions ran better in 2018 – apart from doubles
- Continue to have the harsher rules applied based on attendance levels and where consistent nonattendance occurs
- Kev Mansfield will continue as competitions secretary to manage process
- Handicaps
- Society members with official handicaps will no longer begin the year on that handicap – the same system will apply to all members regardless of a players official handicap
- Winners of a society day will receive an automatic 1 shot cut ontop of any additional adjustments
- Any new players will start on their official handicap, if they don’t have one it will be assessed after 3 completed rounds
- End of season awards
- An additional end of season award will be implemented – Seniors Annual Society Champion
- Over 55’s will automatically qualify
- A player can’t win both the Overall Society Champion & the Seniors Champion
These are the main points – if you have any queries contact Jim on the details above.
